Virtual Box Simulator helps you pick a box for your shipment

Virtual Box

The United States Postal Service now has a new tool to let people decide which box is the perfect fit for their shipment, the Virtual Box Simulator.  They simple need to print a special icon and show it to their Web cam.  When the Flash application detects the special icon, it will draw a shipping box on the screen.  The user can then “put” the objects to be shipped in the box to see if they’ll fit.  If not, the user can always change the size of the box.

See the video on how it works.  (Story via TrendsNow.)
