The King of Pop beats it at 50

It’s all over the Web.  From CBC to Boing Boing, with 30% of all posts on Twitter about it, the news is out: Michael Jackson died of a cardiac arrest at 50.

I really like the way he brought his spirit to pop music during the 80’s.  I was born early in the decade, and some of my music preference has been shaped by famous artists like him.  Then again, I wouldn’t say I was a huge fan of him, but I have to admit some of his songs were quite catchy and had a new sound nobody has heard before.  The beat, the rhythm, the dance, the lyrics…  Everything was there for the world to enjoy.

It’s too bad he went through rough times at the end.
