UFO Guy: "Exter-Terresttial!"
I just couldn't stop laughing...
Jump Start
I just saw a commercial this morning on TV about a funding programme by Canadian Tire called "Jump Start," which apparently helps kids get into organised sports.
It starts with a kid walking down the street. Seeing a "Help Wanted" sign in the window of a deli, he enters and asks the owner if he can work. The man says he expects someone a bit older, and while the kid is trying to sell himself, the man interrupts him by asking, "Shouldn't you be playing hockey or something?" Then the dramatic conclusion: that's what he's trying to do. The advertisement ends with a statistic, "1 in 3 families in Canada can't afford to enroll the kids in organized sports." Watch it yourself:
Aww... Boo hoo. Poor little turd. What about all those kids out there who can't eat or don't have any shelter? Pfff... They don't matter! Who gives a rat's ass if a child is dying from deprevation. A kid can't play hockey! The nation's future depends on it!
Apple needs to make a commercial like that. Kids goes in, asks for a job, and the old man is astonished when he realises the child has no iPod! "You... You have no iPod! Even I have an iPod Touch. Heh, I'm cool!" The kid's reply, "But... That's what I'm trying to get." "Buy some food or leave. Only cool kids can work here."
Talking of hockey, Tim Hortons released their new Web site this week. It's time for their "Rrrroll up the rim to win," where one in 10,000 Canadians may win a donut.

Elevator Girl Video
You'll never guess what I found recently... Well, unless you read the title, then you know what I found.
Surely, you remember the short story I wrote starring me being harassed by an elevator girl in Japan. This story is a parody which exagerates the first time I saw an elevator girl when I went in the Kinokuniya book store with my friend in Shinjuku.
Well, I found a video of elevator girls in the same book store! Yours to enjoy below.
"I'm so glad I didn't kill myself yesterday!"
I'm not quoting myself. Don't worry. I just like Michael McDonald's impression of Steve Jobs on MADtv:
And here's one about the "iRack."
Some friends of mine also showed me other MADtv videos about a parody of a typical Korean soap drama starring Bobby Lee. "Huh?" It's quite funny, especially the subtitles.
