Personal policy and conditions on the publication of photos and videos of friends online

This may be extreme, but every time I take pictures or videos of my friends, they are always worried that they will end up online for the public to see.  I often get “OMG!  Don’t put it on YouTube!” or “Don’t you tag me on Facebook!”  It’s odd, because the times I’ve pictured someone in an embarrassing moment must be rare.  For your information, here are some general guidelines I follow when I post photos or videos of my friends online.  (From this point, when referring to photos or pictures, the same usually applies to videos.)

Why Would I Want Hannah Montanna?

I was browsing a music store’s Web site yesterday.  Their front page has a boastful way of recommending me music.  Here’s a screenshot of the section in question:

CDs You Need to Own

How can they claim I need to own the above albums?  Lady Gaga?  Hannah Montanna?  Clearly, they have no idea who I am.  I suggest a better headline to reflect their suggestions:

Crap You Want To Burn Down To Hell Which We're Paid To Promote

Will somebody please stop acting like children?

Ottawa Xpress Remgeo Cartoon 2009-03-27

So a show on Fox News broadcast at 3 A.M. hosted by, let’s say, a comedian mocking the Canadian Forces.  While I will agree the comments by Greg Gutfeld are condescending, let’s face the obvious — it’s Fox, and it’s 3 A.M!  Why is there anyone up at 3 A.M. to watch such a show?  An apology has been made since a few days already. They’re sorry (or maybe merely sarcastic).  Either way, the cartoon pictured above I found in this week’s edition of Ottawa Xpress reflects perfectly my feelings toward this “tragedy.”  Our troops have better things to do than to listen to insults from a lowbrow show.  Now, let’s move on.

Totoya

Sushi and chicken teriyaki bento

My coworker and I went for ramen, but instead we ended up with a whole chicken teriyaki bento, since they only serve ramen at lunch time.  It doesn’t matter what you eat, you know you’ll like it.  The restaurant also has all-you-can-eat sushi, served with a bowl of miso soup, on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Some people have too much time on their hands…  No wonder the mayor wants to get rid of all graffiti in town.
