Anyone who has heard of tales from modern Japan has heard at least once about some of the most unusual vending machines.
Unusual? Perhaps. Unused? Perhaps not.
Above is a vending machine selling umbrellas found at the exit of Warabi station in Saitama prefecture.
The location was well thought: it is set right at the exit of the station. There are a few convienience stores nearby, but if you’re coming back from work while the skies are pouring, you’d have to get yourself wet before you get to any of them and buy an umbrella. That, or you can simply purchase one from the vending machine!
